Florham Park Borough (07932) is located in Morris County, NJ - about 30 miles west of NYC. The community has a total area of 7.6 square miles and has approximately 3,400 housing units. Florham Park is known for its low property taxes, small-town atmosphere, and convenient location close to major highways. Most of the homes and neighborhoods in the community were constructed starting in the 1950s. Today, there is very little open land left to develop. As a result, it is common for builders and other speculators to purchase small ranch and cape homes to knock-down and replace with high-end new construction. Some of the housing developments and neighborhoods include: Floral Manor, Briarwood, Murphy Circle, Sherbrooke, Summit Woods, Rosemont Estates, and Country Club Estates. Florham Park is home to the New York Jets training facility and corporate headquarters.
Florham Park's highway access is excellent, which makes it a desirable community to live in. The municipality is located close to NJ Route 24 for an eastbound commute. Interstate 287 runs north-south through Morris County and is located a few miles to the west. The train station in Madison is a few miles south. Morristown Municipal Airport, which is the second-busiest general aviation airport in New Jersey, is minutes away off of Columbia Turnpike. Newark International Airport is a mere 30 minutes away.
Florham Park School District serves public school students in grades K through 8. The schools in the district are Briarwood Elementary School (K-2), Brooklake Elementary School (grades 3-5), and Ridgedale Middle School (grades 6-8). Students in public school for grades 9-12 attend the Hanover Park Regional High School, which serves students from the neighboring community of East Hanover. Portions of the College of Saint Elizabeth and Farleigh Dickinson University campus are located in in Florham Park.
Florham Park has two 18-hole golf courses: Brooklake Country Club, which is a private course, and Pinch Brook Golf Club, which is a public course. Recreational facilities located in Florham Park include Emmett Field, Stobaeus Park, and Beechcrest Park.
